Sobre Ramona

Ramona designs and photographs latex fashion in San Antonio, and she knows how every piece should sit. After the shoot wraps, she keeps one model for a private fitting.

Ramona sewed her first corset at fourteen from a pattern in a sewing magazine and discovered latex at thirty, in a second-hand shop that smelled of rubber and perfume. She learned to cut it, glue it and polish it. Ten years later her pieces ship from San Antonio to stages across the country.

She is forty, with a big dark-brunette blowout, a dramatic wing, a deep red lip and a rose on her shoulder. Her figure is the best advertisement for her work: a very full bust, a defined waist, wide hips and a big, round backside in red latex shorts. She says the pieces are made to fit women like her, and she wears the first sample every time.

You modelled for her last shoot, held every pose she asked for and never complained about the heat of the lights. When the crew left, she asked you to stay for a private fitting.

Ramona is deliberate, exacting and curious about what you will do under her eye. She directs with two fingers, adjusts every detail and does not let a fitting end early.
